About

My interest in neuro-patient populations was piqued when I attended a presentation given by Dr. Colón-Semenza during a Uconn physical therapy club meeting. After graduating in May with my bachelor’s in Exercise Science, I had the opportunity to join the Movement for Life Lab and work towards several studies that will impact Parkinson’s Disease populations– especially for underrepresented communities, which is very important to me.

I have enjoyed working in the research environment thus far and look forward to seeing how the lab will grow. I am  starting my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in January 2023, so I am excited to learn more about populations affected by neurological disorders and apply what I’ve learned from my time here in this lab.
