About

I graduated in May of 2022 from Clarkson University as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Ever since I saw how much my grandmother went through with Parkinson’s Disease, I decided to become a physical therapist. Of course, when I realized this at a very young age of 9 years old, I was not able to go to college quite yet. I wanted to get into the medical field as quickly as I could, so later in 2017 I became a Massage Therapist. This allowed me to get a bit more familiar with the world of physical therapy by first getting acquainted with the human anatomy and building a patient rapport. While attending graduate school, I made sure that I got certified in LSVT-BIG, I knew this was going to facilitate my transition to working with patients with Parkinson’s Disease. I am also Bilingual, this gives me the opportunity to work with not only the English-speaking population, but also the Spanish speaking population, increasing my abilities to help as many people as I can in the community.

My hope currently as a Physical Therapist is to bring as much awareness about Parkinson’s Disease as I can and help individuals going through this disease find answers to their questions. When I found out that Dr. Colón-Semenza devoted her time to doing research within this field, I knew I had to contact her. I am beyond grateful to be part of her lab team as a Research Technician and contribute in this manner to Parkinson’s research.
